The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center is located on 210-acres in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. Features of the property include:

Astronomy And Science Camp

The Astronomy camp features two 11.5 inch telescopes for young people to experience the thrills of space discovery. Activities at the Astronomy Camp stimulate interest in science and technology. Areas of study include: astronomy, aerospace, aviation and earth science.

Mining Camp

The Mining Camp features an 1,800 sq. ft. replica mine with two shafts and a crank-operated dumbwaiter. Students put on their miners helmets and use hand tools to dig for ore, pan for gold and crack open geodes. Areas of study include: geology, engineering, earth science and physical geography.

Ranch Camp

The Ranch Camp features a 2-acre citrus grove with 35 types of citrus, organic garden beds with crops traditionally grown in Orange County and a windmill and solar powered well. Areas of study include: plants, animals, agriculture techniques, land management, water quality, nutrition and food chains.
